Green Planet Parties is very excited to offer this compostable and biodegradable plate that's incredibly strong, extremely heat tolerant, and wonderfully 'green'. "Earthens" are made by villagers in India from dried leaves of the Areca palm tree as they naturally dry and fall, which means no trees are harvested to produce these plates - they are made from nature's leftovers.  The leaf is molded at a temperature of 100 degrees celsius where it becomes the shape of a plate or bowl.  This process also serves to sterilize the leaf.  No pesticides are used, and no colour, wax, or dye is added during manufacturing.  Earthens come in various shades of cream and brown, beautifully designed by Mother Nature herself.    

Sold in packages of 25, these plates have a generous lip and could also be used as shallow bowls.

To help prevent the spread of the flu virus, many parents are looking for  a safe and effective hand sanitizer.  80% of infections are transmitted by hand, soap and water are not always convenient or available, and the majority of people - especially children - do not wash their hands properly or for long enough.  Green Planet Parties recommends this non-alcohol based hand sanitizer that does not dry or irritate even delicate skin, won't sting cuts and spreads easier because it's not a gel but a foam.  Most hand sanitizers are alcohol-based gels, which are instantly flammable, leave a burning sensation, hurt open cuts and delicate skin, and are extremely drying.  Alcohol-based gels also contain 62% Ethyl Alcohol so can intoxicate small children if licked or ingested.
