Green Planet Parties is very excited to offer this compostable and biodegradable plate that's incredibly strong, extremely heat tolerant, and wonderfully 'green'. Palm plates are made by villagers in India from dried leaves of the Areca palm tree as they naturally dry and fall, which means no trees are harvested to produce these plates - they are made from nature's leftovers. The leaf is molded at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius where it becomes the shape of a plate or bowl. This process also serves to sterilize the leaf. No pesticides are used, and no colour, wax, or dye is added to plates during manufacturing. These plates come in various shades of cream and brown, beautifully designed by Mother Nature herself. 24 plates in total, these plates have a generous lip and could also be used as shallow bowls.
